Experience

With more than twenty years of international experience across Europe, my focus covers commercial counselling, cross-border transactions, investment structuring, compliance and contentious matters. Much of my career has been spent as in-house counsel within multinational and holding structures, advising parent companies, subsidiaries and boards on governance, intra-group arrangements and risk mitigation.I have led complex commercial negotiations, developed governance frameworks and managed contentious matters from prevention through resolution. This practical background provides a clear understanding of the governance, contractual and compliance measures companies need to organise, safeguard and proactively manage their legal affairs.For the past three years, I have run my own advisory practice, supporting international companies, founders and investors with pragmatic, commercially driven solutions. My work includes structuring transactions, drafting documentation that protects value, building scalable compliance programmes and acting as Compliance Officer. Clients benefit from a combination of long-standing in-house insight and the agility of an external adviser, resulting in legally robust, business-ready advice.Previously, I held senior in-house roles at MaaS Global Ltd., DENSO Europe B.V. and Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift Europe B.V., after beginning my career at HengelerMueller in Düsseldorf advising on high-value M&A, venture capital and private equity matters.I hold an LL.M. in Commercial Law from the University of Auckland, completed my German legal training at Universität zu Köln and Universität Bremen (First and Second State Examinations), and am admitted to the German Bar.Languages: German and English.
